Die Weiße Stadt ist eine Großsiedlung mit offener Binnenstruktur aus Rand- und Zeilenbauten und ineinander fließenden Grünräumen. Beim Bau dominierten Rationalität und Wirtschaftlichkeit. Auf der Basis von Rentabilitätsberechnungen dimensionierte man die Erschließung, aber auch die Gebäudemaße. So konnten Bauteile teilweise vorgefertigt werden.
